Go Trendy with a Black French Manicure

Though the traditional French manicure is popular among the youth,there are some alterations done to this design.For instance,it is really a fun to go for black French manicure. There are several ways to do this. The first and most important thing you'll need is the right black polish. You can choose a solid black or a black flecked with shimmer. The most popular black nail polish lately is Chanel Black Satin. If you have trouble finding this particular shade, you'll be glad to know that lots of different black nail polishes can be purchased at any drugstore or department store because it's such a trendy shade these days.

You'll also need a clear base and top coat, of course, and the shade that you want to complement the black. Some women pair their black tips with clear polish. This is a classic way to wear this look. Simply apply your clear base coat, let it dry, paint tips black, and once dry cover with a clear top coat. If you have trouble painting straight tips, try some of the handy stick on guides available. These guides come in traditional and artistic shapes. They are applied to dry nails to separate the tips and prevent sloppy mistakes. Always make sure tips are completely dry before removing the guides or they'll be ruined.

You don't have to use clear polish if you don't want to. Many women are painting their nails with a contrasting shade. Pale pink is an attractive contrast to the black. If you have your nails done at a salon, try a pale pink background, black tips and ask the nail artist to airbrush tiny black hearts or stars on the pink background. Another idea is to reverse the look and do a black nail background and colored tips. Your local nail salon should be able to achieve any look you want. The black French manicure isn't for everyone. Many women prefer the classic, feminine look of the traditional French manicure with white tips and a sheer overlay.
